URGENT! Metrolink Submission deadline

Metrolink Submission- Please make a submission

All Metrolink Submissions need to be submitted by 25/11/2022. You can do this by post , hand delivered or on line

Submissions are due for the 25/11/2022 the deadline time is  5.30 p.m.

An Bord Pleanala, 64 Malborough Street, Dublin 1. D01V902  .

There is a fee of 50 euro to make a submission unless your property is  directly over the proposed tunnel and within a  zone designated by TII in which case you do not have to pay a fee-You will have received paperwork from TII if you are in this zone and  you must give your location details which are provided on paperwork you should have received from TII. Everyone else has to pay the 50 euro.

GADRA supports Metrolink but we do have  issue with aspects of  Metrolink in the area

We feel residents need access to advice from Independent Experts during enable works and construction phase

We feel the project needs independent oversight during construction identify delays and given the dynamic nature of tunneling to ensure that all is as it should be below ground.

We are looking for  Residents Monitoring Group-to monitor and report environmental impacts such as noise, vibration, traffic, dust, working hours, timelines etc. during construction

A Community Fund should be set up, again similar to the children’s hospital fund

We support the Albert College Park and Ballymun Road Resident association and Hampstead Resident who are  calling for a station in the park – which would be below ground  structure rather than the planned  permanent large above ground ventilation building in Albert College Park

We have concerns that a public park would be used for shaft which is  a structure adjacent to the main tunnel- this is not the usual practice in other metros- they are usually site beside buildings or in car parks

We definitely do not think that Albert College  Park should be used as a car/ maintenance parking area when the Ballymun road is within the required 20 meters for emergency vehicles

The Shaft should be reduced by at least 1/3 in size and its design in keeping with surrounding buildings

And most importantly- no night works on this site – it needs to be a dark quiet site at night.

We have concerns about access to schools on Mobhi Rd with footpaths and cycle lane being closed off during enabling works.

We do not believe the impacts of construction traffic has been assessed in the application

Please submit the issues that worry you – your submission does not have to be technical or long – there are no bad submissions but please send them in  And please tell  your local representatives what your concerns are as they are the  people that represent you. Your Councillors will be involved in many of the decisions relating to hours of work traffic routes etc so tell them your concerns
